Hey, I really like your Snow desktopX object. I was wondering if you could possibly do an alternate version where its sakura (Cherry Blossom) petals falling diagnally across the screen? That'd be totaly awesome. I'd do it myself, but my skill level is really low. It'd be an awesome object set, and any anime freak would kill to have it for their desktop.

Greetings Martin,

I downloaded your webpage refresher for a specific use but it is not working properly. I was wondering if either I may be able to see the source for it, or if you might be able to modify it.

Here is what I am looking for:

There is a very cool web radio station called Radio Paradise ..

On their website is a .php script that in itself refreshes at the right time so that when a new song is played the php script refreshes and is changed.

here is the link:

http://www2.radioparadise.com/nowplay_b.php

basically I want to be able to use something very much like your website refresher, except one that doesn't refresh itself, and will work correctly with this website to show me what is now playing on the radio

Thanks Martin .. great work by the way

Well anyway drop me aline Thankyou oh I salute you too!

ello, i've been trying my hand at creating a phone book lookup object without any luck so i figured i'd ask the experts for a little help.

what i have so far is the object that calls an html setup with the input forms for searching telephone numbers via bigbook.com everything works but instead of calling just the numbers, it calls the entire webpage with headers, text and extraneous information. I'd like to strip all that and just get the entries...

i've taken a look at the source code of the results page and have noticed each entry has a 149 code at teh beginning. any ideas on how to pull out the info?

tried breaking down your weather script but as it's not in xml it doesn't quite work.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

ps: tried looking for an email to get in touch with directly but couldn't find one...sorry for asking you here.

Hi Martin

Sorry I don't have your e-mail, or I would have sent this via e-mail. I have a ? for you - I'm using your simple stock monitor, and I'm not sure why I'm getting this internet explorer script error (I have a screenshot of the windows error box should you want to see it), but here's the info

line 2
char 9
error invalid character
code 0
url http://finance.yahoo.com/q/cq?d=v1&s=MSFT+BPUR+HOFF+SIRI+ORCL+INTC&rnd=0.6674575

I click 'Yes' to keep running scripts, then I get the error once again

line 2
char 9
error invalid character
code 0
url http://finance.yahoo.com/q/cq?d=v1&s=MSFT+BPUR+HOFF+SIRI+ORCL+INTC&rnd=0.6674575

I click 'Yes' again, and then it updates the stocks...

So it works, per se, but, I don't want to have to click yes twice every 15 mins, ya know? lol The funny thing is, it DOES update the stocks with no problem. Just the error.

I'm hoping you can help m8!

Thx

It's been quite awhile since I've talked to you and this has nothing to do with DX or anything. Anyway my mom & dad have a laundrimat and one of the ladies that comes in has a boyfriend from over there, and when she asked him what he did he said he was a bookie. I was just wondering if it means something different over there because over here it's not a very good thing to be....
Merry Christmas,
Richard

Hi Martin, Just wanted to say that I've been playing with the CUI, weather and calendar objects for the last 2 days. Brilliant. Keep it up.
Oct 3, 2004 4:48 PM
Martin, First of all, THANKS for the Weather Widget! That was great, made making my Chrome Dome Weather Widget simple as crud. Second, I was wondering something, I have 15 colors in my 2 widgets "Chrome Dome Clock, and Weather" (and soon Calendar), and would love to be able to change the colors in ALL of them at the same time, so if you change colors in one it will look to see if the others exist (thats the part i dont know how) and run their color change scripts too. I dont know if this is a good idea or bad, or maybe i can make something that will allow poeple to pick if they want each item its own color, or use the color of one for all? Just trying to work out all this fun stuff in these scripts. Thanks agian, and I really do appriciate all the help with the all your posts ets. Your Great!
